In commonsense terms, someone who really wants something will be working to bring it to fruition.  When there are obstacles, they will work to remove the obstacles so that nothing prevents them from attaining their goal.   Someone who doesn’t really want something will run up against an obstacle and make it into the reason why they had to give up and assume that they can’t be successful.   When someone says that they really want something but gives up when they run into an obstacle, then some part of them, doesn’t really want it or want it enough to do what it takes to be successful.   W…
